Silver Squid ~ Adrian Poe

Art & Travel Galleries

Nat Geo2

On March 28th my underwater photo of the Frederiksted Pier in St. Croix (pictured left) was chosen and featured on the National Geographic website. My photo was one of over 15,000 photographs that were submitted to the "Your Shot" assignment for the "Biodiversity" theme. I am honored to have been chosen for one of my favorite publications. I look forward to entering more of my photographs and one day I would love to see one printed in National Geographic, a magazine that I have always admired. See the story HERE.

Its simple to have your own "Squidly" photography hanging in your home or office. Simply find a photo that speaks to you - and click the BUY button. Select your materials, like canvas, metallic, postcards, and even PUZZLES! If you're looking for a specific photo for your home or business email me at and lets get started creating a totally custom piece of art, just for you! I am a professionally trained Graphic Artist currently residing on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, in the Virgin Islands. Previously residing in the dry climate of Arizona, my soul ached for blue waters and white sand. The ocean was calling to me and my 200 gallon reef aquarium was no longer fulfilling my need for the sea. Check back often, I upload new photos weekly. Thank you for joining me on this adventure in Paradise.

Surfs Up! Featured on the front page of the newspaper is a photo of Q Everest Chiapperino that I  took on the west end of St. Croix. We were lucky to have been spared by hurricane Matthew but the hurricane did provide the surfers of St. Croix an exciting couple days of waves. Thank you to all the surfers for not only providing great photo subjects but for the entertainment of watching some pretty epic surfing skills.
